Not much is happening in New Orleans except Wind Rain, police and the National Guard. With all the locals ushered out earlier in the day, the once bustling New Orleans streets are left bare except for the ocassional police car keeping a watch on things. Soon, even they will be hidden away as the fierce winds and rain of Hurricane Gustav roll into town. Below is a shot of Bourbon Street at 10:50 PM, normally a busy time for the district.
As the Water in New Orleans starts to fall
As of today, New Orleans is in a state of Emergency awaiting the arrival of Hurricane Gustav. The entire city has been evacuated and the National Guard is protecting the city.
